RAY, ENLISTED INTO THE MARINES IN 2002, HE SPENT 14 YEARS WHERE HE ROSE THROUGH THE RANKS. DURING HIS TENTURE, HE HELD BILLETS AS AN EXPLOSIVE SNIFFING DOG HANDLER, SPECIALIZED SEARCHING DOG HANDLER, CHIEF TRAINER, KENNEL MASTER IN COMBAT, AND MULTI-PURPOSE CANINE HANDLER WITH 2ND RAIDER BATTALION MARINE SPECIAL OPERATIONS. AFTER NUMERUS DEPLOYMENTS TO IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN IN SUPPORT OF THE GLOBAL WAR ON TERRORISM. HE WAS MEDICALLY RETIRED IN 2016 DUE TO INJURIES SUSTAINED IN COMBAT. HE UNDERSTANDS FIRSTHAND THE GRIEF, CHALLENGES, LOSS, AND SACRIFICE THAT THE K9 COMMUNITY AND THEIR FAMILIES EXPERIENCE. HE IS A HUSBAND AND THE PROUD FATHER OF 3 SONS AND 1 DAUGHTER. HE IS THE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND BUSINESS PARTNER, FOR ARES DEFENSE GROUP, LLC. HE IS ALSO A CURRENT AND ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE FATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE (FOP) IN VIRGINIA.
