Roy was a steadfast and loyal partner. His gentle nature and fierce love were known by all who met him. Roy came to be an amazing breed advocate and working dog solely because of the determination, grit, love and patience of his handler/trainer K.
I have had the privilege to work with both K9 Roy and his handler K on many occasions and I am even more lucky enough to call them dear friends. K9 Roy and his handler K have built a community through their ability to boost the confidence of their compatriots both bipedal and canine.
Roy was an avid dock diver, fast cat competitor, rally dog, advanced obedience competitor, scent work dog, tracking machine, and fitness buff. His character and nature shone through relentlessly given any work, thanks to the symbiotic nature of his job... Take care of his handler.
And that my friends, he did. Until his last breath.
Our Thoughts and prayer at K9BB go out to his surviving handler K, family and friends.
Roy was the first dog that Ray taught Samantha Strong (K9BB product designer) to track with, to say his loss is felt deeply would be a gross understatement.

" A dogs soul never really dies. They are always here. Not in a physical sense but within the lessons that they taught us in life. If you listen close enough, their teachings etched upon your soul will guide you. In that way, a dogs soul never really dies. They're just waiting for you to listen." - S. B. Strong
